Architectural CAD Technician

Due to an increase in workload, an Architectural CAD Technician is required to join a specialist design consultancy near Runcorn, Cheshire, during an exciting and busy period.

This company have been established over 25 years, working with high profile companies and institutions across the UK, and has sustained a stable, organic growth. The team consists of approximately 30 talented professionals, and staff turnover is very low. As they continue to expand, their next requirement is for an Architectural CAD Technician.

Projects are predominantly within the Healthcare, Education and Industrial sectors.

The successful Architectural CAD Technician will work under the direct supervision of a Senior Designer, overseeing an expanding portfolio of projects. Other duties will include:

·Producing detailed general arrangement/elevation drawings as well as detailed fabrication drawings
·Liaising with associated departments within the company as well as communicating with external parties such as architects, Main Contractors, End Users etc
·Working on projects as part of a team as well individually as required surveying site projects
·Preparation of 3D models
·Working with Architect’s drawings
·Preparing fabrication drawings and liaise with factory floor and site installation teams
·Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines

To be considered for this Architectural CAD Technician role, you must meet the following requirements:

•Hold a relevant qualification (HNC / HND or equivalent).
•At least 2 years project experience
•AutoCAD proficiency is essential
•Technical detailing & specification experience
•Ability to deliver projects to the highest of standards using ones innovative technical & design solutions
•Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos is desirable

Please note that driven and dedicated Graduate Architectural Technicians will also be considered but you must show creativity and willingness to learn.

The successful Architectural CAD Technician will have full training in company operations & systems, and there is a mandatory induction session. You will also have the opportunity to shadow a more senior member of staff in order to broaden your technical knowledge.

Salary offered is between £18,000 and £28,000 depending on experience.
