Turner Miller Borer
This is a great opportunity to work in a long-established, multi-branch electro-mechanical engineering business offering a variety of machining work in their workshop in Liverpool, with overtime and on-site work when workload demands. You will also have opportunities to enhance your skill set with training in electro-mechanical services unique to this business.
The company have a thriving mechanical engineering workshop in Liverpool, enabling them to provide a complete turnkey electro-mechanical service for clients. Growing demand for mechanical engineering from clients has led to a requirement for an additional Machinist with good experience of manual / conventional (NON-CNC) Turning, Milling and Borer machines. Experience as a toolmaker would be an advantage, but not essential.
Hours of work are 8am - 4.30pm Mon- Fri, with overtime available, and emergency standby call-out 1 weekend in 4 during busy periods.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
• Manufacture and repair of parts, using manual (non CNC) lathes, drilling & boring machines
• Working overtime subject to Company workload, which may be up to or exceed 20 hours per week.
• Provide cover when on call (one week in four)
• Mainly workshop based with occasional work on-site
• Training in new techniques / skill sets as required
The company offer a competitive £13.40 rate / hour basic, £20.16/hr Overtime rate for weekdays & Saturdays and £26.80/hr Sundays, leading to an OTE of £30,000-£35,000 pa depending on overtime worked.
